11 Relaxing Songs to Treat Anxiety and Stress
Music can boost happiness and reduce anxiety and stress

What role would you say music has in your life? Is it a source of inspiration, an emotional outlet, or maybe you’re a musician yourself?
For many people music is intimately tied to emotions. Some might even say that this connection to emotions is an inherent quality of music.
We already know from scientific studies that music can boost happiness as well as reduce anxiety and stress. There’s even an evidence-based form of therapy where music is used to increase mental well-being, fittingly known as music therapy.
Considering how much potential music has, it’s exciting that we can all access it pretty much whenever we want.
And because music can also be an excellent way to relax, today I want to show you some of the songs I listen to whenever I feel anxious or stressed.
If you haven’t already, I definitely recommend creating a playlist of your most relaxing songs, it might just help you out some day in the future.

HOW TO MAKE MUSIC A PROPER RELAXATION TECHNIQUE
If you want to relax even more effectively with music, I recommend creating a relaxing environment.
You want to find a place where you can comfortably lie down, and where you won’t be disturbed for however long you wish to relax.
It might also be a good idea to put on headphones or something similar to block out other noises and to get a better experience of the music.
You also want to make a playlist, so you don’t need to keep changing songs manually. After that’s taken care of all you need to do is start the music, lie down and close your eyes, and relax your breathing.
Try to focus entirely on the music you’re hearing, and if your attention drifts, gently direct it back to the music.
